A Serene Maldivian Ambiance

There are no far flung, distant tourist and cultural attractions that demand to be visited, so while away the lazy mornings and afternoons, laid out on a deck chair by the private pool in your overwater villa, sipping on a cocktail, catching up on your reading. Should the confinement to one island become a bit too overwhelming and you feel the need to immerse yourself in some local culture, day trips can be arranged to neighboring rural island communities, where you can observe the simplistic way of life in the islands that has endured virtually unchanged for hundreds of years. Local island communities live on islands that are often, no more than a few minutes away from the resort by speedboat. So it is possible to spend as little as an hour soaking up a bit of culture and be back for sunset drinks at one of the resort bars, with plenty of time to spare.
